Re: Preview cacheing cause XnView freezing
I'm not sure, but I think yes. Is there a way to find, which file was the last scanned?

Preview cacheing cause XnView freezing
Hi,
since browsing image folders can be quite slow, if the image preview isn't cached, I thought, I could enable "show images of sub folders" (I use the german XnView, so the name can be wrong here) and let create a cache file for all my images at a fast RAM drive. After a short time XnView hangs ...

Re: Use ICC profile - Add "use monitor profile" option
Also if I select the monitor profile than an image at XnView looks not like at Photoshop. So I think, XnView isn't the problem. If I render an image per Vray, than the frame buffer show me the same image like XnView. Doe's somebody know, why PS doesn't show the same like at XnView (also if I set the ...

Re: Use ICC profile - Add "use monitor profile" option
Hi Danny,
a general question for this topic - if I calibrated my monitor and the profil is set for Windows, than this profile is automatic used for viewing images per XnView?
I ask this, because I have the problem that Photoshop shows a light other looking images as XnView, Opera, Internetexplorer ...

Re: easy delete / sort out / mark pictures while slideshow?
I miss a delete and rotate function during a slideshow a lot too.
Often I shot several images of a moment and later during a slideshow I see, which image is the best and which one can be deleted. Some shortcuts would be very helpful. Is there a chance to get this feature implemented?
Regards,
Micha

Re: Wish: extract mask channel of PNG
Thank you for all the hints, especially the detailed descriptions. The script solutions are a workaround, but it could be nice to get a easier solution. Why not do it like at Photoshop - additional pressing the ALT-Key makes that the last used settings are used. In this case it would be ALT+Ctrl+U ...

Great - thank you for the hints.
An other request - often I need the same batch conversation several times a day (convert to RGB or now extract alpha) and switch it on again and again. It could be nice to get a general batch option like "use options next time again".

Wish: extract mask channel of PNG
Hello,
it could be nice if XnView would allow to extract the alpha channel from a PNG. I don't know any software that allow to get access to the PNG alpha channel and to save it to a separate file.
Regards,
Micha
