Re: How could one export / import all of one's own settings?
It seems just copying the xnview.ini is not enough, e.g the favorites are not transferred. And I assume other own settings as well. I just will leave it like it is. So I do not have any idea at all of which files / folders have to be transferred to get all of one's own settings / data to a new ...

Re: How could one export / import all of one's own settings?
OK, so then the only thing I need to do (to transfer my own settings to another XnView) is to just copy that xnview.ini file to the same location of the other XnView:

That also could be done by just copying that file with (without using XnView) a usual file browser ...

Re: How could one export / import all of one's own settings?
Sorry for my bad understanding. What does that mean to my question in my last post? So what I did was not the right way? Is there an import / export option somewhere?

Many thanks!

Zoom in and out with two different step sizes?
Is there a way to zoom in and out in the full size view for an image by using the mouse scroll wheel in combination with pressing a key in two different step sizes? E.g to zoom in / out quickly (e.g with the mouse wheel) and slowly (e.g with the mouse wheel and pressing CTRL).

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
The preview scaling is always the same for Before and After images unless you change the setting, so the important thing is to always ensure that you are viewing the whole image when that is important.
OK, I will consider that, thank you!

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
Could your problem possibly have been that you weren't reducing the preview images sizes enough to view the whole image?
It could be, I am not sure. But I guess, at least not solely. If I had (and I guess, I did) rezised the preview I had not been able noticing it. I would not have known what size ...

Well, here is one: it is better to be smart. Then I would have found the cause quickly(er).
Very many thanks for your great help!

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
Isn't the last screenshot the result you that want? Can you now get that result on your computer one way or another?
Unfortunately it is not. When...holy...shiiii...I guess, I found the cause in this moment I am writing here, it is not the output, but the input so to say when I view the result ...

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
Yes, actually it should be extremely simple. And there are not that many settings. So may be there is some setting at another place causing this.

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
OK, I absolutely do not make it here. I use XnView MP. I give up, I guess. Any idea how to achieve that.
Do those images look about right?
Yes, they do.
If so, perhaps you can try experimenting with resizes using percentages.
Yes, I already did a few times with XnView MP before and again. Do ...

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
OK, good.
To resize an entire image as I now understand you to need to do, you should only need to use Resize: the simplest way, which would avoid the need to calculate new pixel dimensions that accurately maintain the image width-height ratio, would be to resize using a percentage mode option ...

Re: How to make an image (width, height) smaller?
The images you posted in your previous post have a white border around them which didn't display in my XnView MP set to have a white background.
