I confirm this is OK with short videos, but "real" movies' first 2 seconds often consist of black frames. I admit it's not easy to get it look good with every movie.

Okay what you're missing is
1. "browser<>fullscreen" in "options>gen>switching modes>use dbl click to switch between"
and
2. the "options>browser>view in fullscreen" that is in 1.74 (note I wasn't using this so i don't remember if files from Explorer were directly opening in fullscreen)
right?

You're talking about this http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?p=8812#8812 ?
It's annoying because the Pause key won't work - could have been an alternative to Space (Pause works only with Quick Slide Show, for me)

Do you mean that clicking a tab should only give focus to the corresponding child window, rather than maximizing all of them? Probably right, but it doesn't bother me a lot since tabs are precisely an alternative to MDI for managing several files within a single window.

Um it'll be rather distracting, if the icon changed with every file you view.

RC6: Web template tweaks

Don't get me wrong, I believe it's a nice template, layout- and color-wise, but it could use some tweaking. - XHTML instead of HTML: The problem is that XnView use <br> as linebreaks between THUMB_TEXT items, whereas XHTML requires <br />. So it's basically impossible to generate a valid XHTML, even...

Nope :) They ARE image files, which XnView will process as such when "recognize ony by entension" is unticked (options>browser>file list).

It actually affects preview and fullscreen-lite, not fullscreen proper. So yes, either move it to browser>preview or leave it in fullscreen but add "(also affects preview)" at the end of the string.

I don't have this problem either (xp sp2)

OT: IMO, the "you must restart" popup is a bit annoying. I'd prefer if that was directly specified in the option string, eg "Limit tab caption to <textbox> (requires restart)"
