Re: [0.78] XnViewMP Database grows and grows continously...

... So maybe the limit is only for Thumb.db and not for the Xnview.db file ??? ... Pierre can give the answer and add a new limit option for this db file too, or can create/separate a new db file for the others/(extra blobs) meta-data ex:images-meta.db ?.

Re: Bug: reconstruct thumbnails removes all metadata (0.78 x

You're right, but as you can see in attached screenshot (taken with my smartphone as with XnView, print screen feature does to work when menus are displayed :? ...), indeed I'm using the "reconstruction" menu line and not the cleaning one.

... Ah OK .... For the screenshot "when menus are ...

Re: Bug: reconstruct thumbnails removes all metadata (0.78 x

Hi;
many thanks for XnView :D !!
A bug I just noticed on XnViewMP 0.78 x64 (Jan 14 2016) (ran on Ubuntu Studio 14.04 64 bits, generic Linux kernel 3.16.0-60): when using command "reconstruct thumbnails" ("Outils/Métadonnées/Vignette EXIF - Reconstruire" in French) removes all metadata of the ...

Re: Problems searching for images --IPTC data

Hi,
I'm using XnView to manage a considerable amount of archival material and I want to be able to search for images using my IPTC data. I have no problems searching with keywords when I place my search in a specific subfolder, but if I want to find those same images in the larger folders (the ...

Re: [0.78] XnViewMP Database grows and grows continously...

My "XnView.db" file grows continously and reached already the size of over 500 MB (and there is no end in sight), although only a hundred files have tags (categories).

A short view to the Database shows that XnViewMP writes not only files with tags (categories), ratings, ect., but also all other ...

Re: Prepopulate The Create Multi-page dialog

For me this is the only reason, I have to juggle both Classic and MP together. Classic automatically populates the files inside the selected folder and its subfolders, saving me much work. I usually have a folder which has multiple folders inside with images to convert to pdf / tiff. MP needs me to ...

Re: Displaying pictures on a "wall"

The idea : display more pictures of a folder on the screen (without text informations).

The parameters would be :
1) The number of pictures on the screen (above 10)
2) % of covering (sometimes the high or width of a picture can be covred a little to make the scheme more easy)
3) organized or ...

That's not true! It makes no difference what order the images are in.
Right, in that configuration, this is a little better too, but try also with some pictures with ratio=1.
However I support your request.

Re: 0.64 Prints 1 bit / 2 colors png files in negative

I confirm this annoying bug in MP0.76-1 Linux.deb X64 version too ... Prints 1 bit / 2 colors png and jpg files in negative.
... Into MP, the print preview is OK (text & sketch black, and background white), but the print is in negative. (both are OK in XnView classic)
( post in French here too ...
