Re: JPEG lossless transformation format and arithmetic codin
1) XnView should use the JPEG options that are selected in the settings.
2) Arithmetic coding is supported in the IJG library since version 7 (2009-06-27). The current version is 9a (2014-01-19).

Re: There are 2 options related to EXIF orientation
I think that unifying these two options into "Rotation based on EXIF orientation tag" would also have drawbacks:
1) The name would be less self-explaining. The more self-explaining names would be:
a) "Rotate images according to EXIF orientation tag" for viewing. See also here: http://newsgroup ...

Re: Invalid jpg crop (when displayed image is exif-rotated)
I couldn't reproduce this bug with XnView v2.32 (2015-03-16). But this problem shows that it would be good to have an option to create a backup file. See my suggestion here: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.p ... 15#p126126

Re: Rotation and EXIF Orientation field
The image that has been attached above has no EXIF orientation tag (and no EXIF info at all), but I can confirm this bug with the F6 EXIF orientation test image from the test set that I've attached in my following post: http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=23933#p103253

MP: Details view in file pane
Tested with XnViewMP 0.75 beta (2015-05-19) win32.
When selecting the "Details" view in the file pane, only the numbers 0,1, 2, 3, ... are displayed.

MP: Focus directory pane / file pane
Tested with XnViewMP 0.75 beta (2015-05-19) win32.
When clicking on a thumbnail in the file pane, it will get the focus. When then clicking on the current directory in the directory pane, it will get the focus and switch into rename mode, while the thumbnail keeps the focus.

MP 0.75 beta: Rotate images according to EXIF orientation ta
^This is about the option "Rotate images according to EXIF orientation tag" which is currently in General > General. It has only effect on the display of the images and does not change the files. Therefore I think that it would better fit in the View section of the settings.

In XnView v2.32 (2015-03-16) this bug is still present. :bug: :(
The command "View > Refresh" from the menu doesn't refresh the view correctly, while Ctrl+R on the keyboard (Shortcut for "View > Refresh") surprisingly does.

The minor issue is still present in XnView v2.32 (2015-03-16). :bug:
1) After changing and saving the rotation option, the images in the thumbnail browser should be rotated immediately.
