[REQ] Set .ICO Transparency When Saving

I haven't found a possibility to set transparency colour when saving icons. Is the only workaround to use "Convert to Colours" and then editing the colormap or am I missing something?

What about a more direct way simply by choosing the transparency colour by clicking in a preview picture like in ...

Thanks for that discovery, SanskritFritz. :)

@xnview:
The funny thing is that I have not only shut down XnView for testing purposes but I have also restarted TC but still the setting was not remembered. Things like that really drive me mad...

The problem is that I usually just press a button to ...

It's a question, you should have only high quality if option/Browser/thumbnail/high quality is enabled
Like I said, this setting has no influence, it's just the same as I have reported in the Total Commander RC1 thread. Setting on/off, it doesn't matter, no difference in quality.

Sorry but many work already...
Indeed, I have seen that nice bug reporting situation here. It just looks strange when you take the time to answer in a different forum and then disappear. People are then in the situation that they don't know if you have read the bug reports or not and get irritated ...

Well, indeed Pierre is overworked too, but the state of mind is a bit different here; so, I bet we'll get that feature before my death…
Indeed, I am pretty impressed about the bug reporting, status of fixes and postponed reporting. Much easier for users to keep track of what's going on.

I hope ...

Are there any news on that subject? I have searched the forum for "apply button" and this seems to be the most recent thread.

While trying out XnView RC 5 thumbs support for Total Commander it was very uncomfortable to not have an apply button and to permanently close and recall the dialog.

The problem is that the XnView author has ignored the thread in the Total Commander forum after the problems were reported in RC1 so there was not too much interest anymore in trying out the new versions. ;)
