feature request: don't display squares in thumbnail view

Hi Pierre,

please don't think I'm ungrateful! They are just suggestions!

Here's another one, unless anyone is really attached to them, I think the thumbnail view would be nicer without the grey squares, just the pictures.

Or else how about this: if you choose for filenames in the thumbnail view, you also get the squares, else not.
