New thumb label - extension

I'd like to suggest the following, which I am in need of:

Among the labels for thumbnails, it would be nice to add file extension (without filename). Right now we have "Image type", but it is too long (i.e. a PDF will get "Portable Document Format"). So a nice and short "PDF" would be great. What do you think?

i think this has been requested a few times already, but I'll happily cast my vote again for it
let's be honest, the current imagetype label is just plain.."funny" on thumbs.
