Viewing embedded images in PDFs

Post by Hivebrain » Tue Sep 06, 2011 11:17 pm

Would it be possible to view images within PDFs the same way images in ZIP/RAR files are now? Same for other document formats with embedded images like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MHTML, Corel WordPerfect and many others.

Problems:

1. PDF support isn't native in XN
2. PDF format is very complicated
3. XPDF PDFIMAGES can extract PDF ... but results are usually "messy" (blame PDF creators, not XPDF)

Note that Word DOCX is a ZIP file (same for PXPPX, XXLSX) ;-)
There is indeed no WinZIP under my rock.
