Hi,
First of all, thnx for this little piece of excellent software, image viewers were always a pain for me and i never really made a research about them until i got to xnview, i am not a fan of gallery directed programs like picasa, i like it simple .
I am a music producer, and deal with professional DAW application for music production and mastering, and i use professional sound cards for those apps, and trust me, they only like professional apps.
professional sounds cards when running under the DAW apps dont like interuptions at all, and sometimes i check some pictures that i need for mastering (frequency ranges), and accidentaly xnview went over an mp3 file and the access xnview had on the soundcard made my pro tools crash and i lost at least 4 hours unsaved material.
is there any option to force xnview to open only image files when i go through a folder, i want it specifically to only read image files and totally bypass/ignore mp3 or any audio file?
please help me here, i know in the future i will accidentaly do the same mistake, i need to take some action.
regards.
Handling ONLY images files.

2 places to look, from article, Often overlooked settings:
Q: Why are files hidden by Options>Browser>File list still appearing?
A: There is a filter icon above thumbnail list which should be set to: "Custom".

EDIT: found it, but im pllaning to use xnview by viewing images only through the keyboard, direct access from the images and just SPACE-in around.
i unticked everything apart from the images, still, xnview keeps playing audio files if browsing through the image files.marsh wrote:
