'I have a DVD with .CAM files on it, but I can't seem to open them. I get the following message: 'The format of the file could not be determined'. In Options, I selected 'General' and 'display all image file types'. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!!

						Unable to open .CAM file
Re: Unable to open .CAM file
• The supported *.CAM is the Casio QV-10/100 Camera one… Maybe some others from different makers are not
- You could also check your options (F12) to ensure you that the whole supported formats box is ticked :
General >> Operations >> Display all image file types

Re: Unable to open .CAM file
Thanks, Clo. I checked the F12 General Options and Display all image file types is already checked. I also tried opening it with the Casio QV-10/100 Camera selection, but I get the same error.
Unfortunately, I don't have the original software and have no idea what may have even been used. Maybe this can't be opened with XnView????

Re: Unable to open .CAM file
• Perhaps your files are some “five-legged sheeps” ?
- In such cases, generally Pierre (our Dear unique Author) asks for a sample, many times he can solve the issue (when there is no undocumented proprietary stuff…).
- Thus, stay tuned, and wait for his opinion and¦or sample request.

Re: Unable to open .CAM file
I am also unable to open 10 files with .cam extension, each approximately 51MB in size. Do not have the source camera/software. I have installed xnview version 2.11 on Windows XP Pro. The warning message that appears when attempting to open the file is "Format of the file <filename.cam> could not be determined". I tried choosing to Dispaly all image file types. Any ideas ? - Victor.
