xnview: video autoplay possible?

Post by tom*de » Thu Nov 03, 2016 12:50 pm

I scan pictures-folders in xnview2.38-view-mode by clicking button: cmd_NextFile.

If a file is a video i.g. *.mp4 - xnview-screen is blank and I have to use the self defined shortcut ALT-1 (File, open with, add program) to start a videoplayer (i.g. VLC, MPC-HC) to play the actual video-file.

Can I configure xnview, that it plays videofiles automatically?

F12, browser, preview:
- Auto Play for Video/Audio
- Show first Frame for Videos
seems not to work.
(I've never seen a playing Video in a xnview-window, neigther in browser-view - which videotypes are supported for this options?)

Is it works as designed - or is something wrong with my configuration?

Best regards, Tom
