Adding a folder to diashow not working properly

When adding a folder to diashow, the pictures are included in the sequence sorted by "Name(numeric)".
Is there a way to select the sort sequence "Name(not numeric)"?

Thank you for registering to the XnView forum and for your request, henalWS. In the slide show dialog you can sort the images using the "Sort >>" button, but sorting is non-numeric, only.
What you could do is first sort the images in the browser (View » Sort by » Name (numeric)) and then start the slide show. Though this wouldl limit your slide show to one folder.

Thank you for your reply, helmut. I have tested to sort the content of the folder with the sort function provided in diashow. This sort function applies only for files which are explicitly included in the diashow. It does not apply to the content of folders included. Is there any possibility to define the sort function on folder basis?
