No Thumbnails for .mov files -- full screen ok

Hello,

I love xnview since 20 years. But I was never able to get thumbnails für my .mov files from an iPhone 5s.
Now I've build up a new Win10pro installation and the mess is the same. I installed K-Lite Codec Pack 15.3.2 Basic, no effect.
My standard player for videos is VLC, changing to Windows standard player has no effect.
Double-click on the shown video-icon opens the video using windows video player. In full screen mode the video is also diplayed. But no thumbnails, onk icons.

BTW: .mts and .mp4 have the same issue.

I've read the FAQ for an hour without success. Any ideas?

Currently onyly XnView MP can correctly create thumbnails for such files

OK, I'll switch to XnView MP, donation is in progress.

MP looks fresher and I'll soon get familar with it.

I have same issue on Mac. Unfortunately, it means I can see thumbnails for any of my live photos as they are all short .MOV clips.
