How to ignore video files completely

Post by larsen »

I am using XnView 2.51.0 to quickly browse through image files in fullscreen mode.
I have configured XnView to not play video files as described here: https://superuser.com/questions/141632/ ... ing-photos

However, it apparently still opens a video file and then only shows a black screen. Initially, I thought the program had crashed, but then I noticed I can continue with PageUp/Down. Additionally, pressing ESC needs around three seconds to close the program in such a case (while it is instantaneous when displaying images).

I would like XnView to completely ignore video files when browsing in such a way. How can I achieve this?
