Browsing SMB shares is very slow

I have enabled ExpandUNC=1 in the ini file.

Typing

xnview.exe "\\server\path"

in the commandline results in a long pause as XnView scans the target. No window appears until this is finished.

Doubleclicking an existing image then pressing enter to return to the browser results in a blank browser window with the same pause before the display is populated with icons.

Trying the above with XnViewMP is problem-free, with very fast response.
