Icons display in browser…

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

• With RC2 and RC3, the 24 BPP icons “loaded as 32 BPP” are not viewable in a board of thumb-nails, like shown below :

Image

- As thumb nails, only the 8 BPP icons are viewable and the real 32 BPP ones.
- But like said elsewhere, these 32 BPP are not visible in View (all is transparent). Only the preview is correct.
- Do you think that it's normal to change the transparency option continually,
while in the same folder I can have several types ? :|

Strange, i have no problem to view them, could you send me a sample not viewed correctly?
Pierre.

Mismatching results…

Post by Clo »

 Paul & Thomas

:) Hello !

Thanks for checking !

- Your results mismatch, it's important to know why…

- Here, WIN XP-Pro SP1 - FR.

- Accuracy : ALL these icons are displayed alright in the TC-tool Universal Viewer by Alextp last version 1.5.8.0

- They are also displayed in Imagine (standalone) except the 32-BPP ones,
but I guess that Pierre knows why - same issue with XnView ;)

 FR to all,
Claude

Retested here with a fresh ini... all is OK now...

The reason was not the ini but in the Cache\XnView.db
After I deleted it I may use my old ini it works also OK.

Other issue !

Post by Clo »

 Pierre

• Hello !

• Well, I had to delete the TWO DB files, in the root and in <Cache> to get the icons of the sample-dir displayed.
- They have a full coloured background, so no transparency issue, indeed.

• However, the real 32-BPP ones -made like you know- display nothing in Preview¦View, I wonder to see what'll occur when you fix the 32-bit conversion issue… Image

• But even using the new created cache, I've still problems with some other 24-BPP icons and the transparency,
like shown below :

In Preview¦View —> Image - The real icon —> Image

• When zooming-in, the whole BG turns black, and remains when coming back to 1:1 scale or zooming-out in “VIEW” ONLY !

- In “Preview”, the zooming keeps the same broken look (at left) for any scale…)
- In the board of thumb nails, the motif is not broken, but the whole BG is black :|

Better, but---

Post by Clo »

:) Hello !

• In 1.90.1, all motives are displayed OK in Preview and View
- But the zoom bug = black from ~103…105% remains in View only

• In the board of thumb nails, all transparent BG are black, this is a general defect for all icons, any size, loaded as 32 BPP.
- Creating a new cache (renamed the old one) doesn't change anything…:|
