RC1: EXIF info not shown in thumbnail details
Hello,
looks as if Xnview 180 is a great improvement. Unfortunately I've the following behavior on my PC:
When additional fields are selected for Thumbnail Label like image properties or EXIF info those are not shown in the browser, just empty fields.
Hmm. What's wrong?
Thank you for XnView!

Could you tell me which fields do you use? And do you have a sample picture used?phola wrote:looks as if Xnview 180 is a great improvement. Unfortunately I've the following behavior on my PC:

Well I'm not seeing them below my thumbnails. That's curious because a few hours ago they were displayed on about 50% of them, but now, after several restarts, none are.

Hello,
I've tried the following:
- delete xnview.ini
- restarted xnview
- disabled cache
- set thumbnail detail 'Image properties' and 'EXIF:ISO value'
- browse folder with pictures including EXIF info: fields are empty in the browser view. The EXIF info is shown with right-click->properties
This occures with pictures from different sources, means from different cameras (Sony W1 and KM A200). If you give me an Email address I can send examples to you.
So the procedure of OL did not work for me

No don't disable caching.
close XnView, then delete the cache folder, then restart. Or click "remove all" in options>cache, ok and restart.
I don't have the time to test every entry, but all exif's work with a clean cache, except iso value. it seems like it's another problem:
Canon Powershot G2: iso value is not displayed
Canon Ixus 30: iso value is not displayed
Canon Ixus7: iso value is not displayed
Canon EOS 10D: iso speed ratings is displayed
Canon EOS-1D Mark II: iso speed ratings is displayed
Olympus u300D: iso speed ratings is displayed
Konica Minolta Dimage A200: iso speed ratings is displayed
... ok i've still got more, the point is iso value is displayed when value name is "iso speed settings", and aren't when value name is "iso value"

Hello,
I've tried XnView on a different PC and for some reason several EXIF tags are shown in the Browser view with the same pictures. But not all fields are shown, it depends on the camera model.
From Canon A40 almost all fields are shown while from Sony W1 and KM A200 only ISO is shown.
So this issue seems to have something nothing to do with XnView itself?

I cannot see in thumbnail view the exposure time of my digital fotos made with a Casio QV-4000. It would be great if the EXIF tag could be assigned to shutter speed (s) in the selection list.
Here a picture to extract the Casio EXIF tags:
Could you also add to the list EXIF Copyright, EXIF User Comment, EXIF Image Description, EXIF Exposure bias value?
Thanks for this great program. Espacially the thumbnail view is much better with the additional info and the possibility to extract the embedded thumbnail. This makes the browsing much faster.

Ok, the problem is when the cache is enabled. I'll fix itphola wrote:looks as if Xnview 180 is a great improvement. Unfortunately I've the following behavior on my PC:
