Pressing "DEL" key when selection is not finalized

Steps:
1. Open the image. Start making a selection using the mouse (press and hold right button).
2. Without releasing right mouse button press DEL on keyboard. The dialog "Do you really want to delete the file?" appears. Press "No".

Now the selection interrupted in step 2 is visible, however it is possible to create another selection, which is confusing.

Expected: Only one selection region is possible at a single moment of time.

I am testing on xnview v2.22 (April 2014).
