If I choose to display all files in subfolders in the browser via "Browser Menu > View > Show files in subfolders", then open one of the files in the viewer, the display of the files in subfolders in the browser is lost. Instead, the folder with the viewed file is displayed.
Tested with XnView v2.33 (2015-06-18) on Windows 7 64 bit SP1.

Can you confirm that disabling Synchronize Browser selection with current View (Tools » Options... » Browser » Browser) has no effect, Karl?

^ I can confirm that this option has no effect on this problem.

I can confirm both the problem itself as well as "disabling Synchronize Browser selection with current View" not making any appreciable difference. The exact same thing holds true for the alternative right-click menu option "Show all files (recursive)"
Tested on 32-Bit WinXP Pro SP3.
