Program crashes when moving first file
If I try to move the first file in a folder to a different folder, the program crashes. It's like it doesn't know what to do after that file goes missing.

Re: Program crashes when moving first file
Let's say you open xnview, and browse to a folder. Then you click on the first thumbnail in that folder to view fullscreen. If you hit alt+m to move the file to a different folder, the program crashes and the message comes up "XnView for Windows has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
This has been happening to me 10-20 times a day on different computers, different operating systems for years. By far the #1 most infuriating problem with this software, which otherwise works great.

Re: Program crashes when moving first file
I think the problem occurs if you try to move the first file while the folder is being read by xnview to create the thumbnails. In other words, you have to have enough pictures in the folder that it can't read them all before you attempt to move the file. If you have a small number of pictures in the folder or a really fast computer this might not happen.

If you wait that thumbnails are created, no crash?

Yeah, it seems if I wait for all the thumbnails to load, then no crash. This doesn't work for me because I have folders with 50,000+ photos in them. They have to be this way since each folder is grouped by project, supplier, part and install so the program crashes for me all the time.

Re: Program crashes when moving first file
All the files are in JPG format.
I crash this program ten times a day at least, and always because I'm trying to move the first file in the folder.
"XnView for Windows has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Hang on while Windows reports the problem to Microsoft."
This even happens when you turn caching off completely, so just the process of building thumbnails for the screen is enough to crash the program if you try to move a file during this process. Otherwise, the only choice is to wait 5-10 minutes every time I click on a folder so that it has time to load completely before I can work on it.

Re: Program crashes when moving first file
Sent you message with ini.
It crashes on any machine, any OS under the following conditions: Open a thumbnail view on a folder with enough files to keep the program busy loading thumbnails. (I have several with more than 10,000 files in a single folder) Double click the first image to view fullscreen. Hit Alt-M to move it to another folder, select folder, hit enter. Program crashes.

Re: Program crashes when moving first file
Try it with ten thousand or more images in a folder.
I know it's reproduceable because it's happened for me consistently over at least the last 5 years on many different laptop and desktop computers.
