Show menu option 'Change timestamp' in view mode

Post by GeorgD »

Open an folder in browser mode. Menu => tools => "Change timestamp" is offered. Open a file in view mode. Menu=>tools => "Change timestamp" is not offered, but shall be offered as it makes sense to change the timestamp of a single image file.

Change timestamp works on file (lossless modification), so in view mode i can't make the change. I'll add a version on loaded picture in a next release...

Pierre, a lot of people expect to be able to do direct file operations (like all lossless JPEG and metadata actions, etc...) on the opened image as if it was selected (in addition to being loaded in memory). I don't know if this is exactly what you plan to do in a next release?

Rethinking the suggestion, personally I do not miss it any more. If I change dates, I do usually for many files, so I need to be in browser for selecting all of them. And for the few times I wanna change only 1 file, I got used to go to browser mode menu, or to click in preview EXIF pane where EXIF is modifiable (in file properties popup they are not) => suggestion can be closed from my point.
