Currently, we haven't got the translations for 1.93.6, yet. But from previous versions there are some labels which are truncated in German language:
- "Keep document size" in Resize dialog (Image > Resize...)
- "Esc always exists the application" in options dialog (Tools > Options > Keyboard/Mouse > Keyboard/Mouse)
- "Use folder" in options dialog (Tools > Options > Browser > Thumbnails > Cache"
@Pierre: If needed I could try to find a shorter translation.
Truncated labels in 1.93.6

Best solution would be to have the dialog boxes as resizable and have XnView remember the new size of each one.
This would also benefit people with widescreen monitors like myself, we have heaps more room to use

I don't like this solution unless the dialogs would resize them automatically. And an automatic resize is quite some programming effort which should be invested rather in XnView MP or other things (e.g. translation read from a text file).ckit wrote:Best solution would be to have the dialog boxes as resizable and have XnView remember the new size of each one.
So I suggest to simply make fields larger or find a shorter translation - this has worked o.k. for some years, now.

• Hi !
- Auto-resize seems not very complicated for programmes in Delphi™, but in C¦C++, it's a different ball game !
Just try to write the related string in French (temporarily), then it's almost certain that any other language fits in…
There are some exceptions, but a handful only.

• I agree too. A long while ago, I suggested a trick to Pierre in order to get always sufficient widths of controls, say :…So I suggest to simply make fields larger or find a shorter translation - this has worked o.k. for some years, now.
