I suggest modifying the texts in the metadata options window as shown in this picture.
This may be more confusing for a newbie, but closer to the true meaning of these options.
Because the first one creates only xmp:lr:hierarchicalsubject keywords.

no, XMP subject are created too

Right, xmp:dc:subject and xmp:lr:hierarchicalsubject are currently used simultaneously.

In a future development, could you organize this settings screen like that ?
Or does anyone have other proposals?
