Remove the X into the Tab (as option)
Hello,
An other suggestion:
Is it possible to have the cross:"X" into the Tabs, only as option. (For me a Middle mouse click on tab is enough to close a Tab, and also useful)

Please restore some lost functions from XnView for Windows
While it is obvious MP is a great improvement over Xnview for Windows, some features seem to have been lost on the way and I can't understand why. I'd be so grateful if you could restore these :
1. Search embedded Comment which is no longer possible with MP
2. Contextual menu in categories allowing to remove pictures from current category or from all categories rather than spending ages scrolling in the category list to untick them
3. Add a menu entry to add a folder to Favorites (you can only access it through the file toolbar which I chose not to display for several reasons) or permit to add an icon for this command in the main toolbar
4. Enable users to customise the titles of Ratings and Color labels. With XnView for Windows, one can do that by editing the ini file. It is no longer possible and the preset titles do not suit my use of MP at all.
Thanks for considering those "changes". They worked great with XnView, I can't see why they can't be in MP as well.
Cheers !

Windows Shortcut (.lnk) files and XnView MP
Hi,
It would be nice if XnView MP supported launching of shortcut .lnk files, just like legacy XnView 1.9x still supports.
Including Drag & drop support to interface support too like XnView 1.9x. Most especially shortcut .lnk files to Image files. I tried to do so in XnView MP but the feature does not currently exist.

Re: Features needed
Could we have a return of more XnView 1.9x menu bar drop-down items for XnView MP
We already have the "Open" to open any ordinary image file in the Browser, but the "Open" is importantly required in the view mode too, even if basic/experimental at first

So for the View mode, I would like the return of:
- Open... ----> already in the MP Browser. This needs to be displayed at the very top, first, just like XnView 1.9x
- Reopen ----> reopens the picture in the case of external file change, could be renamed to "Reload" for XnView MP
- Browser ----> same command, opens the Browser
The following below would require a lot more work to implement for all OS's:
- Print
- Print opened

Re: Features needed
I cannot select a few pictures and dragging them in a folder in the folder tree!
I cannot live without that...it's almost impossbile to manage lots of photos and always use the "move to" feature instead of a simple drag and drop.
I hope it will be add as soon as possible. So I will be able to unistall Xnview forever.

Re: Features needed
Related topic is "List of missing features (compared to XnView Classic)". I guess many users (including me) would appreciate if all features available in XnView Classic would be also available in XnView MP.

Re: Features needed
A lot of easy hotkeys like del for delete during fullscreen view.
But what I miss the most is a hotkey for tagging pictures during fullscreen view. I believe in XnView for Windows it was insert, although it could be anything really. This is a really important hotkey and I miss it when sorting photos.
Now you can tag by moving the mouse up to the thumbnails and thicking the box on top.

More hotkey settings needed
I want to close xnview with ctrl+w, but I can't achieve that, there's no setting for 'close app' or 'close tab'

Re: Features needed
Same for me. Please add some more capabilities and hot keys to the fullscreen mode, such as
Move forward and backward (Hotkey)
Tagging (Hotkey and/or right click)
Rotating left and right (Hotkey and/or right click)
Deleting (Hotkey and/or right click)
Open with external application (Right click)
P.S. At this stage XNVIEW MP 0.51 is already one of the most powerfull image organizing and editing freeware programs. Thank you for that.

Re: Features needed
Hi!
Options > View > "Only one window view opened"
is missing in MP.
I liked this option, it kept me from chaos. Would be great to get it back.
But anyway, congrats on version 0.51. It is much more stable and predictable than the previous version so far, great work.
