I am in the process of making a new feature request in another section of this foum. During this process, I managed to look at the Settings within XnView MP and think of a better layout. I only have MP 0.31 so I had to use that

These are the following changes I made in the above image:
=the 'loop on the file list' is now in the 'view' tab and not misc
=renamed 'background color' to 'canvas background color'
=renamed 'show pan' to 'show pan cursor' - in fact I should've named it as 'Display Pan tool'
=I forgot to include the 'camera raw:' and 'hide scrollbar' yes these settings should remain here too
=made a new sub-heading 'Multipage files' and added the two options under this unified sub-heading - I think this is better.
=I forgot to make a new tickbox feature beneath 'Multipage files' called 'Temporary files for Large Snapshots'
Do you think these changes looks better like this?
