Hi,
I think we need a tickbox in the "Print" settings called 'Print Greyscale'
This would be the equivalent of turning the image saturation to ' -100 ' as an on-the-fly setting just before a print job is done.
There are system universal settings already to do this but I dont want to change the universal system Print settings for my printer which would affect all other applications that print, but rather more easily, just have XnView MP transform the image to greyscale in the Print settings before printing.
The image will not be saved as greyscale or saved as anything else in any way.
btw, I finally got round to testing "Print" in MP 0.48 on both my Win XP and Win 7...Works great

Still a much needed Print feature.
All XnViewMP would do is totally disable the color before it is sent to the Print process.
Furthermore, if the "Print in Greyscale (no color)" tickbox option is enabled - then I think it's state should be remembered as a 'per session' so that when a user closes XnViewMP app and restarts the app again then it is disabled as normal (default).
