One thing that has always bugged me about XnView is that pressing ESC to close the full screen viewer when there is an animated GIF playing doesn't close the program; it only stops the GIF from playing.
I'm sure this functionality is useful to some of the users so I'm not proposing changing the default behavior. What I propose is a new option in the selection for "Pressing ESC Once Quits XnViewXP." The new option could be "Close Immediately" or "Ignore Animation" and I feel should be a checkbox or radio box within the same group as the other options. If this option is selected, the program would immediately exit upon pressing ESC instead of requiring a second press.
Possibly to alleviate this entirely, could we have the option to remap the key to stop animation? That may work as another alternative.
Just my two cents, I hope others may find the suggestion useful.
