By default F7 is assigned to Make new Folder in the Thumbs pane.
However the GUI doesn't say anything about that.
It should have an entry in the right-click menu. It is a common job and the minuscule button from the address bar gets lost in the complexity of GUI. And anyway, on that toolbar we're accustomed with Thumbs logic management (sort, filter, thumb size etc.) and not with Folders on-disk management.
Another big problem is that when one starts the Capture tool, the F7 key is assigned by default. If one isn't attentive enough the programs hooks the key for capturing the screen and this cannot be un-hooked even if we run again the Capture tool and change the settings and/or press Cancel. One needs to restart the program in order to have again the F7 for folders.

Yes - just found it. After almost a year of using the program...xnview wrote:You have the shortcut in Edit>New folderm.Th. wrote:By default F7 is assigned to Make new Folder in the Thumbs pane.
However the GUI doesn't say anything about that.
However the two big (ok, three) problems raised remain:
1. In Edit menu is not discoverable. One wants it in the Right-Click menu.
2a. The conflict with the Capture tool
- and -
2b. The flaky keyboard shortcut change in the same Capture engine. See my 1st post for the details.
