Custom Icons?

Post by Akovia »

I noticed that there is a "Set Icon" in the toolbar section of settings but it's greyed out. Is this a planned feature or is something wrong?

I am having a problem with corrupted thumbnails so I've been rebuilding my thumbs often and I'd like to have a button on the toolbar for it. Problem is that it only shows the text which is too long to fit and I have to click the >> at the end of the toolbar to access it which is no different than just using the view menu to do it. Will we be able to add our own icons at some point, or are there any plans to fill in the commands without icons in the future?

Stop - this forum is for MP, I'm off topic, sorry :(

Interesting, I never saw that, and apparently it works for me. So far I had four tools without icons, and arranged all other icons "logically", e.g., a group "hex. view" (no icon) plus "picture info" (has icon) delimited by vertical bars.

Using your tip I selected "hex. view" in my settings, clicked on the [...], navigated to a directory with XnViewMP icons, selected "raw", and now I have the XnViewMP "raw" icon for my classic XnView "hex. view". :D If it doesn't work for you, has your XnView write access on its own XnView.ini, or do you use the registry for settings?

I'm on linux so no registry and all my other settings get saved so my .ini has write access. Glad it works for you though. ;)
