If thumbnail labels are turned on they show for folders as well, however they are just blank except the folder name.
If thumbnail label does not apply to this file type e.g. image label does not apply for folder, so it shows empty do not display it.
P.S. Would be great if {size} custom label was also working for folders showing size of folder in MB's

For folders, show only the lines that have any text populated.

Re: Dont show Thumbnail labels for folders
ok, but not possible. Rectangle for an item is the same for all (folder or file)

Re: Dont show Thumbnail labels for folders
There is already option:
View > View As - Thumbnails + Filenames (shows only folder name)
View > View As - Thumbnails + Labels (shows all details)
When i select Thumbnails + Filenames remove empty tags from folders, however once i navigate inside folder to image then it still only shows filename until i switch to Thumbnails + Labels.
Could you add an option to show folders as Thumbnails + Filenames and show images as Thumbnails + Labels?
