Draw window size

Post by cday »

The Draw window currently opens at a reduced size, but can be resized up to screen size by dragging the width and height.

Would it be technically possible to open the window sized to fill the screen to make editing an image easier, maybe with a Close button at top-right?

why? if user wants window maximized, they press maximize button OR win+↑.

its extremely annoying when any app opens maximized/fullscreen without user explicit concent.

There is no Maximise button and win+↑ doesn't work in Linux...

If a user only wishes to add a watermark or to use the clone tool, it would be easier to do so directly in the editing window. :D

there shall be strict logic behind menus/tools/modes organization, otherwise there will be mess

on the other hand, customized menus can be the solution (eg like in ps), but,
imho, that’s too much hassle for happiness of few users, as 95% of userbase never customize anything

Confirmed in a brief visit to Windows that the Draw window has a Maximise button, and in my test even opened already Maximised, so yes a Linux issue.

I don't think that new users would expect to find the Watermark action in the Draw menu?

Direct access in the editor window to Text and Clone could be considered a matter of convenience when only one action is required, and maybe also to some extent discoverability.
