Hello,
We can thank Elon Musk for his radical overhauls
btw, for many years now I've had my XnView About menu set to open as a tab, I don't know if this tab integration has since become the default behaviour, however, I feel this behaviour would benefit everyone.

and too we must not forget these same small visual updates for the main XnView website
https://www.xnview.com/en/about/
in the below recent screenshot, the text of "Twitter" should be renamed to this = X (formerly Twitter)

I would intentionally leave old branding, but that just me.

I know what you mean. I was the same with the Twitter app icon and not wanting to update it on my phone for the first few weeks.
Gotta move with the times and if I remember Elon or his rep mentioned why they got rid of the Twitter name and bird branding. The whole world knows about Elon's infatuation with the letter X. Apparently he's envisioning X/Twitter to evolve into much more than just microblogging tweeting.
This is why I mentioned changing any text on the XnView website to a reader-friendly X (formerly Twitter) - with the twitter name in brackets.
