I recently worked on a big project that generated huge PSD-Files with hundreds of layers. I used XnView to review the daily work in the evening. By viewing my file in the preview, I barely noticed that I pressed CTRL + S before going to the next file, because I had done so the whole day in Photoshop. To my horror I had to realize, that I just merged the whole file down to one layer without ANY chance of undoing this...
This might me specific and it was, of course, my own fault, but considering the damage that merging down a multilayered PSD file does by simply saving it, I would love to see a warning dialog pop up that Says: WARNING you are about to reduce the file to one layer only (or something like this).
Still love the program, although I spend 8 hours recreating the file.....
