Please remove the square brackets for tagged photos in full screen view.
[ ] -> empty space (untagged)
[X] -> X or [X] (tagged)
Photo in the attachment (google drive).
For as long as I remember, it has been very annoying because the eye always sees "something" in the corner of the photo. Whether this photo is tagged or not and it is very misleading.
It would be best to synchronize the appearance of the tag, colors and stars between all views. Currently, they look different in each of them. And these square brackets are the most disturbing.
Thx.

Re: Remove square brackets for tagged photos in fullscreen view
Currently there is no option to set it without brackets.
Settings>View>Info>{tag status} - shows all the time square brackets.
When we select photos, "no/yes" via tagging (which imho is the best and fastest, since the same button causes tag/untag) we would like to focus on the photo, not on the certainty of whether the photo is or is not tagged correctly. Empty brackets (photo without tag) force you to shift your attention to the corner to see the status and be sure. Without brackets (blank space) for an untagged photo, and "anything" for tagged ones, the eye doesn't have to move and focus there because it's easy to see them out of the corner of the eye.
Some words more. Used above "Anything" for tagged ones - means, that it can be something integrated with tag status of other types of view. Current coloured "X" is very good (without brackets), but on Browser mode it is presented by grayed and very small "tick", totally different way. And in "Viewer" there is no any Tag status.. I don't get it. For me personally Viewer is not necessary, because in Browser mode, preview is resizable, so it it has at least the same funcions (in reality much more).
Tag status could be presented by bigger size of coloured "X", square, dot - but the same for both view types, Browser and Fullscreen. And for top pop-up index strip view in Fullscreen mode. For Viewer too, but for me personally, this middle type of view is totally not needed. making more diffculties than funcionalities.
I know it can be off, but if that, it aears another bug that makes problems with tag status visibility on full screen with using top photo index. This is thing for another thread.
Again. Faststone has tagging visibility done in an exemplary manner. It also only uses the browser and fullscreen view with pop-up index strip - whis is imho better and simpler.
