XnViewMP 0.64 on windows 8.1-64 bit
Image size (in centimeters) for thumbnail labels and tooltips is wrong.
For example same file in:
XnView - 16.00 x 21.00 cm
XnViewMP - 15.24 x 20.32 cm
Photoshop - 16.00 x 21.00 cm

Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong
File is here as attachment.
Screenshots are made in Windows7-64bit and results are same as in Windows 8 64-bit.
I'm still using XnView-standard more.
Please make xnViewMP menubar detachable and resizable as any toolbar - this will save a lot of space in menu/toolbar rows for minimalistic idiots like me.
Thank you for the exelent XnView.

Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong
Thank you for the fast response !
Mr. Pierre,
There is a Zoom command called "Real size" (XnView-Standard).
When I click on it Zoom ratio is set to 38% for a 250 dpi picture.
I think this ratio depends on screen resolution (???).
On my monitor actually it has to be 40% - not 38% as it is by default (monitor calibration is standard and never been changed).
Is there a way to set manually a custom ratio for "Real size" command, .INI settings or something ?
If not - is it possible to add this option in "Settings" for further releases?
May be a custom value for screen resolution will be suitable and will correct "Real size" ratio (???).

Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong
Registry value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop - "LogPixels" say:
101 dpi.
This value is automatically chosen by windows 8.1
Monitor is HP L2035 (20,1 inch) 1600x1200 native display resolution.
(This explains the difference 38% -40% in my example If "real size" is based on 96 dpi.)
Is there a way to correct actual DPI settings used in xnView?
Some info: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libr ... 16252.aspx
(see the Important box at the beginning of page)

This problem is supposed to be fixed in current v0.84. Could you please try and confirm the bug fix, tboy?

Re: 0.64 win-x64: Image size is wrong
Pixel ratio is something different.
If I resize an image in Photoshop for example and make it 20cm wide - then when I zoom it to "Real size" in xnView it has to be 20cm wide on my monitor screen - this depends on DPI settings of screen (I think).
In this topic 3 questions exist:
1. Main post was about wrong image size in labels - it was fixed immediately.
2. Next question was about 'Real size' zoom - now it is OK too (less than 1% difference).
3. Pierre said he will add settings for custom correction of DPI - there is something in INI,but I'm not sure & don't know how to use. (may be because I don't need corections now)

Thank you for your explanation, tboy.
@Pierre: Did you add such a setting? Where can this settings be found?tboy wrote:... 3. Pierre said he will add settings for custom correction of DPI - there is something in INI,but I'm not sure & don't know how to use. (may be because I don't need corections now)
