XnView Software

I'm using XnView MP Windows, Version 0.93, with my pictures and database on a external harddisk.

I don't know if I do something wrong, but "Category"don't work very well. I do the following:

• Select one or multiple photo's;

• Select more categories, I want to assign to the photo’s;

• Click on an other photo or outside the photo’s;

• Go back to one of the photo’s which I add the category;

• The category is not assigned to the photo !!!!

• If you have multiple photo’s selected, sometimes there are only a few that had the catergory added to the photo’s, but not all of them

• Sometimes it is also not possible to remove a category from a photo. I just unmark the category, go to an other photo and back to the first one the category is still there.

I have to reboot the computer and hope that the categories will work.
It takes a lot of effort to categorise the photo’s this way, because you have to check all you work twice.
Is this a know but or am I doing something wrong?

I don't understand what you are looking for. The file I included is not what you are looking for?

no when you click on a file in explorer, you have a EXIF/IPTC/XMP tabs

You mean this files? In Dutch the tabs in Explorer has no name as "EXIF/IPTC/XMP"
The problem doesn't always happen. Sometime it does and sometimes is doesn't. If the problem happens I have to reboot the computer. Closing XnView and startup again is not fixing the problem. Now I have imported my photo's and added the categories, so this is the info of a photo with the added categories, also in XnView:
When the problem happens again, I will look if there is information is those two places.

Does this the information you need to solve this issue?

Yes it is possible to get the information in the files. But sometime I have to do it multiple times or shut down the computer and restart it and XnView to get the data in the file.
