In normal viewing mode and in full screen mode, when deleting images using the DELETE key, the last image is deleted, but remains on the screen (although in fact it has already been deleted). That is, switching to browser mode after deleting the last image in the folder (empty) does not occur.
This happens only when using the DELETE key. If you delete it using the context menu command, everything works fine.
Attempts to assign another hotkey to delete did not lead to anything.

I can confirm this bug. 
For reproducing you have to open an image and then delete it using "Del" key. Image is deleted but tab remains opened although the image was deleted. When closing the image the thumbnail is still displayed which is also wrong. When pressing F5 for updating the thumbnail of the deleted image dissappears.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
