1.7.0: Unable to delete folders from directory tree when previewing videos

Post by aucora »

XnView: MP 1.7.0 - 64 bit

OS: Windows -64 bit

When I preview a video, from the directory tree, click on the folder containing it and press the delete key, it will prompt that the folder is occupied and cannot be deleted.

I wish folders could be deleted like videos, when previewing, click on delete and it will automatically stop playing and be deleted.

And to my confusion, the folder then disappeared and I had to refresh to see it again.

Effect: Unable to delete folder, folder disappears automatically.

To reproduce:
1. Preview a video.
2. In the file tree on the left, find the folder where the video is located and click Delete.
3. The folder is occupied and cannot be deleted.
4. The folder disappears automatically and does not reappear until I refresh the page.

Thanks for your reply, I browsed these few related questions.

I have come up with a solution that is probably easy to implement. When making changes or deletions to a folder, it is possible to automatically stop playing the video being previewed, regardless of whether the video belongs to that folder.

Once XnView stops occupying the video, the folder can be modified normally.

The problem I'm confused about is that when XnView alerts me that a folder is occupied, the folder disappears from the directory tree until I press F5 to refresh.
