hi,
to reproduce:
1.) download & extract a clean XnView MP 0.39 (x86)
2.) Create an 'xnview.ini' in the same extracted program folder(s)
3.) Run the program, go to "Settings" and DISABLE the 'synchronize browser when view is closed' then press ok.
4.) Close the Program
5.) Start the program again
6.) In the Browser, open any image file into viewer (Not from the default "My Pictures" folder)
7.) In viewer, close only the browser tab
8.) Now double-click on the image itself (to be taken back to Browser)
9.) *Now Notice that Browser still gets Synchronized to exact browser directory/file in where it should not because setting has been disabled.
What should happen is that it should just go to the default Windows 'My Pictures' location (or any other default Browser location) simply because synchronize browser when view is closed has been disabled.

Yes Pierre, would be better. Thank you John for also agreeingxnview wrote:And what will be the correct behavior? Use previous folder when opening browser?
...And If no previous folder is available then it should just revert to default browser folder - same user default used on first program run These would be the best.
