Comics often come in archives with various extensions, cbz, cbr, etc. These are just ZIP / RAR / 7Z archives with a different file extension. See here - https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... chive_file
One of the things I use XnConvert for is compressing comics to save space. However, this requires extracting the archives, converting the images, and recompressing them. It would be great if XnConvert supported archives so I could convert without extracting and recompressing everything.
I don't expect XnConvert to support every archive format available, but extracting from the most popular formats and saving to ZIP would be great.

Re: [Req] Support for archives
I saw you added output support for ZIP. The feature works but it needs a way of creating multiple ZIP archives, such as split by folder.
Since you haven't added input support for archives yet, I'll put in a suggestion to treat archives as folders. This is essentially how foobar2000 does it, except instead of a backwards slash, it uses a vertical pipe | to denote files inside of archives.
C:\Images\Archive.zip|image001.jpg
So treating archives like folders and splitting ZIP archives by folder would work perfectly for converting comic book archives.
I'm not complaining. I figured it a long shot that you'd add support for archives, so I truly appreciate it.
