CR2 to DPX colour info
Hey everyone, im new to XnConvert and am liking it so far, but im trying to convert Canon raw .cr2 to dpx and the resulting colour is always off. The blue channel seems to be off, so they turn out overall more brown/red. is there a way to preserve the colour info?
thanks for your help!

Re: CR2 to DPX colour info
Hi Pierre, I'm shooting a stop-motion film and use Dragonframe to capture all the animation. for every frame it automatically generates a jpg and cr2; jpg for quicker playback and proxies, cr2 for final comp.
Here is the original jpg:
And here is the cr2 converted to dpx by XnConvert. I get this result no matter the settings I set in Load format settings:
btw i'm on a mac, thanks for your help!

Re: CR2 to DPX colour info
hmm, but that file you sent is a jpg. Regardless, when i put my converted .dpx into XnView i do see the correct colours, but when i bring it into after effects, they are brown.
i wonder if it's because these converted dpx files are listed in after effects as: Millions of colors, 8-bit, Packed, Little Endian? On previous productions i have worked with dpx that are: Trillions of colors, 12-bit, Packed, Big Endian
i don't see in the XnView settings panel how to set its workspace. i'm looking to have it in non-linear 32 bit sRGB workspace
thanks!

Re: CR2 to DPX colour info
Oh ok, so the output dpx opened in XnView or XnConvert has good colors, right? But not in after effect (screenshot)?
Pierre.

Re: CR2 to DPX colour info
hey pierre, AE reads that dpx as 8 bpc and my project is set at 16 bits per channel, but i need the images to have 12 bpc
here's the same image but as the ideal 12 bpc, trillions of colors dpx. It was converted by someone else who i can't use on this current production, so im trying to do it on my own
