"xnconvert > actions > change color depth > colors > 64" does not work.
"xnconvert > actions > change color depth > colors > 64" does not work.
i mean, in xnconvert, if you try to make it 64 colors, it ends up converting it to 256 colors, if it's not obvious.
to reproduce it, take any image, for me it is mostly png images, then convert it to 64 colors, then you can use something that counts colors, if it isn't obvious, to see that 256 colors are present, not 64, if it's not obvious.
so basically if you convert an image to 32 colors, you get 32 colors. 128 colors is 128 colors. 256 colors is 256 colors. but converting to 64 colors results in the image being converted to 256 colors, if it's not obvious.
i also made an image to give an immediate visual aide to what the problem is, if it's not obvious.
also i'm using windows 7 os, if that means anything. -- which is apparently updating still anyway, despite being "end of life", got "edge" web-browser out of nowhere in an update, and everything. turns out you just have to keep using it for it to be supported, alike windows xp; right. anyway.
i made this thread before. but. i put "xnconvert" in the title, and i'm even pretty sure i originally put this in the xnconvert board, not the xnview board, if it's not obvious. maybe a mod edited it so the topic didn't include "xnconvert", then another mod moved it to xnview board, i don't know. so i decided to make a fresh thread, so no one overlooks it or thinks it is "resolved" when it is not. for the sake of everyone using xnconvert.
anyway.
i hope this helps.
thank you.
