hello,
I'm new to XnConvert as of last evening and looking to archive files from tiff to webp format. So far it's looking pretty good, but I am having a problem with some large panoramas (27k x 5.9k x 24 (and 48). I just get a "failed" result message. Am I missing something, or am I exceeding dimensions/aspect/file size or something else? I've done some searching here on the forum but not seen anything to cover this. For what it's worth XnView MP doesn't seem to have any problems with the same files. tia

Re: XnConvert - max file size/dimensions?
No issue in XnView MP Batch convert, or opening the files in the viewer/editor?cdober wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 8:00 pm I'm new to XnConvert as of last evening and looking to archive files from tiff to webp format. Do smaller files convert successfully?

Re: XnConvert - max file size/dimensions?
Conversion of the large file does fail in XnView MP. A smaller sized panorama (4000 x 700 x 24) did convert correctly (as it did in XnConvert as well). Viewing is no problem for either file in XnView MP.

Re: XnConvert - Max file size/dimensions? [Solved]
Ahhh - that's an unfortunate shortcoming I wasn't aware of. I'm surprised that the limitation is not at least 32k. There are lots of folks making panoramas and gigapixel images that exceed 16k, and some of my medium format film scans are beyond that as well. It seems short-sighted, although jpeg is still there...
Thanks very much for the quick solution. I'm relatively new to your products and liking them for the most part. It has been a bit frustrating at times getting past the UI differences from products I've used for many years, but I'll get past it with time.
