Hi friends,
I'm using XnConvert to convert a bunch of TIFF photo scans to JXL and later also JPEG.
I'm using lossless settings for the JXL files and it's literally been taking days to convert.
It's about 60% done now, I started converting around 2 days ago. I had around 500 or so files. It still says it will take something like 28 hours or so to finish. Everything is converting, but should it be taking this long? I remember the program working faster with a smaller batch of files I did months ago.
Any help / tips are appreciated! Thanks!

do not use JXL, use JPEGLI in XnViewMP or wait for it to be added to XnConvert

Re: Photos taking days to convert?
I decided to use JXL because it's lossless and has the best compression results, or so I've read - how does JPEGLI compare? Is this just how long it takes to convert to JXL?user0 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 7:57 pm do not use JXL, use JPEGLI in XnViewMP or wait for it to be added to XnConvert

JPEGLI is faster but not as efficient. If you need lossless and can wait, stick with JXL.
