XNView site down?

Post by Cpt.Guapo »

Hi everybody,

I don't know if it's here the right place to post this, and I've done a little search and results didn't show any relevance.

Well, it's been about 40 days that I can't access XNView Home Page. I've tried through http://www.xnview.com, http://www.xnview.com/en/index.html and Google. Is it a known issue? At first, I thought was my browsers, so I tried IE, FF and Opera...and nothing...

Then, I remembered the Forum URL and...I'm here.

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• No problem here, the XnView Web site can be reached at any moment…
- Maybe is it an issue of “big filtering”(some countries lock this URL… and even my own innocent Web pages !)
- So, this could be related to your location, and not to the stuff… :?

 Kind regards,
Claude

Not big filtering but even so effective if you run Malwarebytes paid version. Not possible to reach xnview site since server also has malware sites.

XnViews IP: http://samspade.org/whois/xnview.com
Neighbors of XnView or 213.186.33.2: http://www.myipneighbors.com/search/check
And so people complain at Malwarebytes forum: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/inde ... opic=25099

They will add exclusion list in next version. Unless server is really riddled with malware I guess not a major problem.

That program get IPs from hphosts http://hosts-file.net/ btw. http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=213.186.33.2

If someone have mysterious problems reaching site then this is probably the reason.
