How to avoid the jumping preview?

Hi,

my computer crashed and I need to use my old machine again. I installed the latest XnView MP and now I have the effect, if a new image is saved to the current directory, than the thumbnail preview jumps down to the end. In the past I haven't seen this effect. Is there an option which I have overseen?

My thumbnail preview is "date" and "descending" so that new images should are shown at the top of the list. I don't know why it automatic scroll to the lower end and I need to scroll up again and again.

Any ideas?

Settings, (Browser), File list , File list... "New files are added at the end of the list"
