Hi
I have some thumbnails in the viewer that I can't delete. When I look in the associated file path there is no image there. I have selected the thumbnails, deleted them and they just stick!

2. If you restart the program, the thumbs are still there? ...or 'magically' disappear?

I understand what you wrote here. However I cannot reproduce. Are you sure that in Windows Explorer that files aren't present?tonyt wrote:0.67, restart and thumbs still there.
Choose one of these thumbs and right-click on it. From the popup menu which appears click on 'Open in file explorer' - what happens?
Sorry but I cannot understand. Can you elaborate?Deleted all keywords, categories, tags etc - disappeared!?!

Re: Thumbnails with no associated file - DELETE?
The files were DEFINITELY not present, when I tried to move the files by selecting the thumbnails I got the error ;source file does not exist. On my mac I did both a Finder and Spotlight search for the files, they were not found.
The thumbnails had tags, keywords and ratings attached. I deleted all of them. Then I tried to delete the thumbnails - no luck. I rebooted my Mac, loaded XNMP and they were gone and have not reappeared since!
Hope this helps and maybe just a glitch?

Re: Thumbnails with no associated file - DELETE?
Most probably a refresh issue.Hope this helps and maybe just a glitch?
When you tried to delete the thumb(s), the program checked for the file existence and because it couldn't find it, stopped the process.
Of course, the thumbs must be removed when the directory/files was scanned/moved but it seems that, indeed, there was a small glitch either in XnView either in OS (if the move process was done from outside Xnview).
