Hello,
I meet the same problem when I use the new "move to tree" function than I had with moving file with Alt+M (wich was solved): when moving a file in a hudge directory for the first time after launching program, XnViewMP is hanging and I have to wait. After that, moving a file to the same directory is fast.

Re: hanging when moving files in tree
ISTM that this is a natural (unfortunately) phenomenon - the OS/program should load from disk all the info related with that directory. Because the OS caches all NTFS info which it finds, from that point the things go much faster.
Possible solutions:
- buy a faster SSD/HDD and/or a secondary one (the OS disk is quite busy)
- reorganize your folders
- (recommended) if you have an HDD, both of the above
Of course, if Pierre can speedup things, he's welcomed to do it.

Thanks for answer; I hope he will find a solution like he does previously.
