I'm looking for a way to batch process the job of editing the orientation tag without actually rotating the file, I'm working with some software that needs camer rotation switched on but some of the images I have have been shot with it turned off. So basically I need to batch replace Top-left (1) with Right Top (6) but leave the actual physical rotation of the file alone.
Any help appreciated

Re: Batch editing orientation tags
For a single file you can use ExifTool which is shipped with the XnView in the AddOn subfolder.
Here is how to use it:

You can generate a file list with XnView and process it with Word/Excel/Notepad++/etc. if you want to do a batch processing on a selection...
...or wait and pray for Pierre to implement Script Execution in Batch Convert and / on Main GUI - there are several requests on forums for this.
